Have you ever watched a movie that didn't make sense? Maybe it made some sense, but it was hard to pinpoint the central point of the movie, identify the Main focus. I've watched my fair share of them, especially evident in the ones that have multiple character storylines to follow throughout the film. Sometimes you just need someone to watch it with you and help explain things along the way, point you on the right track, see another perspective so to understand more clearly. God is calling you back on the right path, to see another better perspective on living your life. He's helping you to see the point of living a good life, through faith. Have you gotten lost in the meaning of your faith? Maybe attend mass and get lost in the motions, not really present? Maybe it's time to take on another perspective!

Today's Gospel states:'At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath; his disciples were hungry, and they began to pluck heads of grain and to eat. But when the Pharisees saw it, they said to him, "Look, your disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the sabbath." He said to them, "Have you not read what David did, when he was hungry, and those who were with him: how he entered the house of God and ate the bread of the Presence, which it was not lawful for him to eat nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests? Or have you not read in the law how on the sabbath the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are guiltless? I tell you, something greater than the temple is here. And if you had known what this means, `I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the guiltless. For the Son of man is lord of the sabbath"' (Matthew 12:1-8).

Today's reading talks about how we should always seek Christ in the Eucharist. Christ is the central point, through him we are redeemed, find the point in living our lives in love. Sometimes we forget this fact as we go into mass, going through the motions but not really taking in what's happening. God is calling us to come back to the main point, to focus on Christ at the centre and see the main point of faith, of life. It may be easy to drift off and not really focus on what's important, especially as we get busy in our lives. We need to remember to come back to Christ, always, being our main focus for love and life. Take some time to pray and ask God to help you put Him at the centre.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for all that You have done in my life. Help me to see the main point of my life, You being at the centre.
