Which Lions player are you disappointed with so far?

We kicked off the week on Monday by discussing the best Detroit Lions performances through two weeks of the preseason. While I went with Anthony Zettel, a lot of you were impressed by Jamal Agnew, Kenny Golladay and A’Shawn Robinson among others.

But now it’s time to take off the rose-tinted glasses. Even though it’s still technically the offseason, the season of eternal optimism, the truth is not every single Lions player has looked all that good through two preseason games.

So today’s Question of the Day is:

Which Lions player has been the biggest disappointment through two weeks of the preseason?

My answer: I can say without hesitation the Biggest Disappointment has been Graham Glasgow. While we were all worried about how Greg Robinson would do filling Taylor Decker’s shoes at left tackle, we completely overlooked the big problem the Lions have at left guard. And let’s call a spade a spade: the Lions have a left guard problem.

Glasgow has shown no improvement from his rookie year, and unfortunately, neither has his backup, Joe Dahl. If Laken Tomlinson wasn’t still deep in the Lions’ dog house, I would think he would have a chance to win his spot back. However, it doesn’t appear the Lions are even considering that thought at the moment.

That means the Lions are likely stuck with Glasgow as the starter this year, and that could mean trouble for both Matthew Stafford and the Lions running game. Glasgow needs to show improvement and needs to show it fast if the left side of that offensive line is to be trusted this year.
