This post is going to focus on using opposites of what everyone(the group you are with or just you and her) is obviously thinking or can obviously see is true. This is a very simple and easy to use technique. It can be broken down into two elementary parts. The first goes with the fact that laughing releases mental tension; by saying the opposite of what people are thinking you create mental tension. The second part has to do with knowing what everyone is thinking. This might seem like a difficult task but you will see that at the perfect times to use this type of humor it will be obvious what to say. Finally the two parts can be combined in such a way to get your entire group laughing.
Lets go a little deeper to see how to put this into action. It is starting to get hotter out around where I live. I had just left a nicely air conditioned building with my group and we began to work our way towards our car. When we got in the car it was soo hot, much hotter than the nicely air conditioned building and still hotter than just being outside. I'm sure you can remember the last time you got into a really hot car and felt the same initial discomfort we all did. After we all got in this sauna with wheels it was obvious that all of us wished it was as cool as it was just moments ago with the nice air conditioning. So i said "damn i really wish it was hotter in here!"; naturally this is the opposite of what everyone is thinking. Everyone wished it was cooler and by saying the opposite in an enthusiastic tone mental tension had been created and immediately followed by laughter!
Here is another example to help you master this easy technique. I was at a social event and noticed a girl off to the side texting with her phone. So i went up to her to introduce myself and said "You are very social be careful or you might make too many friends"; you might be thinking this guy is so lame but I'm sure someone could do much worse as I have done much worse before. This got me a laugh and we had a good conversation. There are times when saying what i said would give no results or even bad results but if you are going to say something risky you have to be able to judge the situation and her mood to make sure it will go smoothly. In this case it was clear she wanted to be social but just didn't know who to talk to so I was friendly.
