So what is it that makes Women deeply sad in context of their close male friends?

Asking her out.

So many men call me to help them figure out a way of this situation, which is, his close female friend of X years has stopped talking to him after he asked her out. I tell them I have no answer.

Men mistakenly confuse comfort and attraction.

They fail to understand that two are exclusive in nature.

A close friendship with a woman is build on the foundation of comfort and not attraction, otherwise a woman would not have allowed close friendship to occur.

Women treasure their friendship with men specifically close friendships. Women don’t generally trust other women in matters of friendship and they prefer having close male friends.

But nothing disappoints them more when their male friends ask them out and ruin the whole friendship.

Just Imagine if being comforting was arousing to women, then number of male boyfriends or lovers she had would be staggering. In terms of evolution that would not make sense.

For women close friendship with men means emotional support minus drama, a good listener, non judgmental acceptance in regard to her emotions. Why would not feel saddened to let that go.

It also means a breach of trust for women, because in woman’s worldview, if a man likes her then he would show up as a man and express his feelings as early as possible.
