SD Card Preparation
Preparation instructions for the SD Card to be used for the Standalone RetroPie Operating System.
Required Software:
SD Formatter v4.0 (https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/eula_windows/SDFormatterv4.zip)
On Windows Device:
Preparation instructions for the SD Card to be used for the Standalone RetroPie Operating System.
Required Software:
SD Formatter v4.0 (https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/eula_windows/SDFormatterv4.zip)
On Windows Device:
- Download SD Formatter v4.0 from SD Associations using the URL provided.
- Decompress ZIP file to a temporary location (i.e. C:\Windows\Temp).
- Run 'Setup.exe' from temporary location.
- Click 'Next' to acknowledge welcome message.
- Click 'Next' to set Installation Directory (i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\SDA\SD Formatter\).
- Click 'Install' and if prompted allow application to make changes.
- Click 'Finish'
- Insert SD Card into the USB MultiCard Reader.
- Insert USB MultiCard Reader into Windows device.
- Start SD Formatter v4.0 (START > PROGRAMS > SDFormatter > SDFormatter) and if prompted allow application to make changes.
- Select Drive hosting the SD Card.
- Click 'Format'
- Click 'OK' to acknowledge warning message.
- Click 'OK' to confirm format.
- Click 'OK' to acknowledge format completed.
- Click 'Exit' to close SD Formatter application.
