Pyongyang, the capital city of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), will be the hosting place of the 22nd International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties (IMCWP) in 2020. The hosting Party will be the Worker's Party of Korea.
The above was unanimously agreed in the last session of the 21st IMCWP which took place in Izmir, Turkey from 18 to 20 October, being co-hosted by the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) and the Communist Party of Greece (KKE).
The closing speech of the meeting was made by TKP General Secretary, Kemal Okuyan. In his speech, Okuyan thanked all party representatives who attended the meeting and emphasized the importance of the unity of the world communist movement despite the differences of opinion.
