If you missed the recent French Quarter Block Party, you're in luck, on Saturday, March 30, The Barnacle is holding a Louisiana-style Bayou Bash. It's all to celebrate Commodore Ralph Munroe's 168th birthday. Come by from 7 to 10 pm for a crawfish boil along with cocktails and dancing with live music provided by Iko-Iko. Over 200 pounds of crawfish are being shipped in for this event.
Admission is $50 for Barnacle Society members and $65 for future members. Tables of 10 are available for $500. There is an additional VIP ticket available for $25 more which allows for early admission to the event, a preview of the silent auction and complimentary champagne and bourbon samplings.
The yearly event raises money for the upkeep of the 128-year-old house and the grounds.
The Barnacle is located at 3485 Main Highway. Tickets may be purchased online here or by calling 305-442-6866.
