Town Hall meeting with Gov Akinwunmi Ambode

The governor of lagos state was at a Town Hall Meeting at Amusement park Apapa, where a lot of issues were discussed.

During the questions and answers section, one of the youth council of Nigeria Apapa Iganmu chapter (Akinnubi Pedro) asked for the governor’s mercy on the demolition that occured March 10 2018 at the whitesand area of Badia east beside the Bola

Tinubu’s park, proceeded by saying the people will be excited if there will be any kind of compensation to the victims of the demolition.

The governor responded by saying for now there will be no compensation, because the demolition took place as a result of Bola Tinubu’s park extension just because the state government wants to minimise the congestion of the road by trucks, so that there will be enough space for the trucks to park. A meeting where the Oba of Lagos and other Oba were present and many office holders like the Chairman of Apapa LGA/LCDA, Apapa House of Assembly Constituency 1 & 2 representatives and the House of Representatives of Apapa was also present.

The conclusion of the Governor on the demolition issue left the people of whitesand hopeless.
