2017 Mitsubishi Miragehatchback and G4Sedan Review: It’s Comeback Time

The 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage is offered in both compact hatchback, and sedan styles. The hatch style is known strictly as the mirage, while the sedan is known as the G4.

Both models have their respective trim levels, with the Mirage hatchback coming in ES, SE, and GT trims, and the G4 sedan, in ES and SE trims.

The 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage Hatchback

The 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage is a small subcompact 4 door hatchback. After a yearlong hiatus from the market, the 2017 Mirage returns with a pretty solid list of revisions. Some of the new revisions include new front and rear bumpers, headlights/ taillights, and higher quality of materials inside the car have been changed as well.

The most significant and noticeable revisions of the 2017 Mirage are the front and rear bumpers, which take on a very masculine look. The headlights and taillights have a more modern look and sleekness to them. The inside cabin space receives more gloss black trim, a new steering wheel, and gray cloth upholstery, as well as new technology features that now include Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay.

The 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 Sedan

The G4 is basically the twin version of the mirage compact hatch, however it is offered as a subcompact sedan. The G4 does benefit as much as the mirage, with the new 2017 revisions.

2017 Mitsubishi Mirage Trims

The ES is the base entry level trim for the Mirage and comes standard with 14-inch steel wheels, rear spoiler, automatic headlights, LED taillights, full power accessories, a tilt-only steering wheel, 60/40 split-folding rear seats and a four-speaker sound system with a CD player and USB and auxiliary audio inputs.
The next step up is the SE. The SE adds alloy wheels, fog lights, rearview camera, keyless start and entry, cruise control, a height adjustable driver seat, automatic climate control, a leather wrapped steering wheel with audio controls and shift knob, and Bluetooth connectivity. A 6.5-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and upgraded interior trim accents are also included.

The GT, which is the top of the line trim, adds everything from the SE plus15-inchalloy wheels instead of the 14-inch on the SE.  Xenon headlights and heated front seats are also standard.

Mirage G4 ES includes all of the same features as the regular Mirage ES hatch. The SE G4 has all of the same components as the SE hatch as well.
