Oh do I get excited when I shoot at new locations! I love REALLY knowing a location – the best views, how the light falls, and things to watch out for, but man is it sure fun to break out of my little Flower Mound bubble and photograph a family in a new location! It was a beautiful day at Penn Farm inside Cedar Hill State Park. There was SO much to explore and we didn’t even cover a fraction of it. (Just an excuse for me to take my own kiddos there and explore take pictures, hahaha!) The farm itself is well preserved, especially considering it is from the 1850’s! Some of the buildings looked to be modernized, but there was also old farming equipment out and you could even go inside the barns!

Thank you to this awesome family for a wonderful night and giving me the opportunity to explore a brand new (and now favorite) area in DFW!
