I heart NYC Engagement sessions. Engagement shoots in general are fantastic in that they allow for wedding photographers to get to know their couples better (and vice versa), and just as importantly, let the couple have a feel for how their photographer works and get used to being in front of the camera. That’s not such a small thing! The photos get infinitely better when there’s a comfort and trust between shooter and.. er.. shootee? Anyhow, Lauren and Stephen are getting married later this year, wanting a spring engagement session, and boy, did they get one! After our first attempt was rained out by unrelenting downpour, our second choice for date was absolutely perfect. Even the cherry blossoms were in full cooperation, which always makes wedding engagements in NYC amazing. Central Park is definitely one of my all-time favorite shooting locations for it’s vastness and mix of nature with urban architectural classic elements, and when combined with the easy-going nature and effortless chemistry between these two lovebirds, my job was as simple as could be. I’m always so relieved when my couples turn out to be such great people! Can’t wait to shoot this wedding later on in the fall. Enjoy the engagement pictures, guys =)
