This post provides you a step-by-step description of what you need to do once you decide which Photo Sharing Websites you will participate on. Follow these six steps:

Setup an account on the website if you are in agreement with the terms. This includes creating a username and password that will allow you, and only you, to update your photos and your account.

Create Your Personal Profile

Type in an inviting and personal profile. Add a photo that maintains your personal or company brand. Include a link to your company website, sales page, or wherever you want the visitors to go in an effort to move them towards being customers.

Post Your Photo or Image to the Photo Sharing Site

Simply upload your photo of interest to the website.

Add a Photo Description

Enter a description of the photo. Consider including information on where the photo was taken. If the terms allow it, include a link to a webpage where the visitor can get additional information.

Add Tags

Provide keywords that users might search for when looking for information or photos similar to the one you posted. Be sure to enter several words that describe your photo.

If your photo contains pictures of people you know. Some photo sharing websites allow tags that link the photo to the profile page of the individual.

In addition, some sites allow the photo to be “geotagged.” This tag identifies on an electronic map where the photo was captured.

Promote Your Photo

Each photo page you create is not really different than any other webpage you create. Promote your profile and each page your photos are on. One way is to alert your followers on social media sites by passing them your link and a short message of why they should be interested.

Now that you know the basic steps, part 4 will provide a list of photo sharing sites that you can check out and select from.
