Hornington Manor Wedding Photography

Carolyn & Kieran certainly knew what they wanted from their wedding photographs and with goals practically identical to our company ethos we just knew it was a match made in heaven! In their own words – ‘We want our wedding to be about laughs and fun. We’ll start the evening reception with a Ceilidh to make sure even the koolest kids get up and dance, followed by a DJ to keep everyone on their feet. We want jump around photos, people dancing on shoulders, and to continue the party until the wee small hours.’

To ensure that the party spirit was kept strong and everyone had plenty of time to settle in and visit, Kieran and Carolyn had planned their celebrations over three days. It was very important to Kieran and Carolyn (Carolyn grew up near York) that their photos reflected the Yorkshire country theme of their wedding and with this in mind they had picked Hornington Manor for their special day. Hornington Manor (near York) has to be one of our favourite wedding venues in Yorkshire and is a fantastic, informal barn setting. Hornington Manor Wedding photography is so much fun to capture and we just couldn’t wait for the day to arrive.

The wedding got off to a flying start and while Jaye went in to bride prep, I (Matt) met up with a very bouncy and extremely excited Kieran for his groom preparations. One of the reasons Hornington Manor Wedding Photography works so well is the size of the property – every wedding gets exclusive use of the venue (complete with accommodation) for the entire weekend. All this luxury makes for a super-chilled out start to the wedding day although with everyone onsite and the hustle and bustle of preparations, it’s not long before the excitement really begins to mount! Kieran and Carolyn were in fantastic moods and it wasn’t long before Carolyn was being chauffeured (in an awesome Tesla driven by her brother) over to the nearby All Saints Church and an anxiously waiting Kieran.

In a beautiful church ceremony filled with emotion, Kieran and Carolyn tied the knot. Then it was time to hop on the awesome vintage bus and head back to Hornington Manor for the party to begin in earnest. York wedding photography sure looks it’s finest with the amazing Yorkshire landscapes as the backdrop. The day was crisp and sunny and Kieran and Carolyn were full of laughs as we took them out for their couples portraits.

Following a rousing (and emotional) set of speeches we whisked Carolyn and Kieran out for an awesome Hornington Manor wedding photography sunset (complete with photo bombing sheep). Then it was back into the barn and time for the evening entertainment to begin.

Carolyn and Kieran had picked a Ceilidh for the dancing and it wasn’t long before their guests were quite literally hurling themselves around the dance floor. Ceilidh’s make for some super fun Hornington Manor wedding photography and we just love the energy and smiley faces that they create. We even had time to nip Carolyn and Kieran out for some awesome sparkler photos at the end the evening.

Carolyn and Kieran, your day was everything you wanted it to be and we had an absolute blast capturing every crazy, fun, York wedding photography moment!
