What would you say makes your approach to health & fitness unique?

Our year-long coaching Program uses a client-centered, habit-based approach to help you lose fat, gain strength, and improve your health. This online program uses cutting edge technology, backed by the power of Precision Nutrition, to keep you engaged in the transformation process while holding you accountable to your goals. You will be able to track your measurements, see your progress, and interact directly with me. What I love about this program is that it’s habit based. No more fad diets that don’t work. No more one size fits all cookie cutter programs. When you change your habits you change your life. This transformation is once and for all. We’ve had over 200,000 people go through this program with 949,000 pounds shed. It works. I went through it as a client 8 years ago and it truly transformed me life. Teaching it to my clients has been so rewarding, watching them drop 20,30, 50, 100 pounds and keep it off. There is nothing on the market like it.

If you’d narrow down your beliefs around fitness and diet to a single sentence, what would it be?

It’s about what we’re putting in, on and around our bodies and tapping into mindfulness.

What does a typical day look like for you (work, diet, fitness)?

A typical day for me is waking up at 6am because my toddler is ready to go. From there, we cook breakfast (usually oatmeal with a little protein and cinnamon or scrambled eggs and toast or s smoothie). My husband is off to work by 6:30am, my toddler is off to daycare by 7:30am (three days per week). I try my hardest to get my workout in by 10am or else it just doesn’t seem to happen. I work from home and my main work days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday when my toddler is at daycare. I spend time connecting with my current coaching clients. I also spend time providing relevant information to our community helping them navigate their own personal wellness journey. I eat lunch at 12pm and it usually consists of dinner leftovers. Right now I’m big on the Fat Flush Soup recipe from Dr. Ann Louise Gittleman and I can eat this for lunch and dinner every night of week and never get sick of it. My favorite snack right now is cottage cheese, pineapple and x salt.

In the afternoons I’m usually recording videos, going live or doing some form of teaching for my community. I pick my toddler up at 4:30pm and spend the remaining day with him and my husband outside playing catch, soccer and random house projects. On the days that I have my boy all day we spend time at our M.O.P.S. (mothers of preschool students), play dates and other fun activities. We cook dinner and eat around 5:30pm and it’s lights out around 8:30pm. My husband and I are in bed asleep by 9pm so we can wake up refreshed the next day. I enjoy reading or write in my journal before bed on most nights. Our family travels a lot for enjoyment and the weekends are always on the go with events or travel plans. I try to pack healthy food for us and always bring a portable cooler with options.

As someone who has dedicated her career to empowering women to be healthy and fit, what would you say is the most common obstacle(s) that stops females from achieving their dream body?

They don’t realize that real sustainable change takes time. It takes more than one week, it’s longer than twelve weeks. Real change occurs when we change our daily habits and do the inner work to release the mental blocks holding us back.

Do you believe your variety of skills and interests has helped you thrive in your life and career and if so, how?

Yes, I do believe a variety of skills I’ve gathered over time has prepared me for life as an entrepreneur and a coach. I’ve been a competitive athlete since the age of 5 and have been blessed to worked with amazing coaches and trainers. I learned early on the value of hard work and consistency. These are strong skills that you need when you are showing up to coach others along their healthy and transformation journey. Empathy continues to serve me in my professional career because everyone has a story and when we can connect with one another from a place of empathy and compassion people feel safe to open up to share. This is the foundation of transformation and breakthroughs.

Who and what has inspired you the most in your career?

The teachers who have influenced and inspired me the most in my career have been Dr. John Berarrdi, Kathleen Yow-Wells and Paul Chek. Dr. Berrardi has taught me the power and freedom that habit based nutrition can provide to me and my clients. Mrs. Yow-Wells has instilled a magnitude of knowledge around the topic of chemicals in our home and personal environment and that it’s important to be aware of what we are putting in, on and around our bodies. Paul Chek inspires me to continues to inspire me to uniquely integrate a holistic approach to health, fitness and well-being. All of these thought leaders and real people practicing what they teach day in and day out.

Your new website has launched. Can you tell us a bit more about your platform?

NMI team developed a custom, mobile optimized membership website with options to sell my body transformation coaching programs. The site is fully automated and integrated with email marketing and social media. It features our written and video blog. NMI Team also professionally designed our 30-Day Jumpstart ebook to match the brand. This includes 4 weekly coaching modules, recipe book, workouts for beginner-advanced, grocery shopping lists and more.

What are your goals for the future? Any upcoming projects?

The biggest project that I’m working on is creating baby #2 right now, due at the beginning of September. I want to expand my work in educating moms of the dangers of having harsh chemicals in the home and how easy it is to live in a safe, healthy chemical free house. I also see some post-natal and prenatal programs in the future. I’m considering launching a podcast as well.

If you could say one thing to inspire those who want to build a career in fitness and health, what would it be?

Get a good team of mentors around you who are successful themselves. Focus on meeting the needs of your clients. People come to trainers and coaches to lose weight but they also need to improve many skills surrounding this big topic. Habits around sleep, proactive stress management, food prep, supplementation and more. Don’t be afraid to go there and their lives will be transformed.
