This frog-like Baby which his head totally sunk into the upper part, was born in 2006 to Nir Bahadur Karki and Suntali Karki who lived in Charikot, the headquarters of Dolakha district. The delivery happened in the Gaurishnkar Hospital in Charikot. When the baby born it weighted about 2Kgs and he has born after the normal 9 month maturing period. The mother who already had two normal daughters at the moment was physically fit without suffering any illness during the pregnancy. The baby was a neck-less creature with huge eyeballs that diverged from the eye sockets. However this baby has died after half an hour after the delivery.

This condition is called anencephaly, which causes defects on neural tubes and these kind of babies hasn't got a proper brain formation. The main reason for this condition is not having enough folate during the early pregnancy. In the gross, these type of babies haven't got a long life.

මෙම සිදුවීම මෙයට වසර කිහිපයකට සිදුවූ දෙයක් වුවද වැදගත් යයි හැගුන නිසා මෙහි පලකිරීමට සිතුනි.

හිස සම්පූර්නයෙන්ම කදෙහි ගිලී පවති මෙම දරුවා උපන්නේ 2006 වසරේ නේපාලයේ "Charikot" යන ප්‍රදෙශයේ ජීවත් වූ "Bahadur Karki" සහ "Suntali Karki" යන දෙමව්පියන්ට දාවය. දරු ප්‍රසූතිය සිදු වූයේ ප්‍රදේශයේ "Gaurishnkar" නම් රෝහලේදීය. උපතේදී බර කිලෝ 2ක් පමණ වූ මෙම දරුවා සාමන්‍ය දරුවකු මෙන් 9 මසක් මව්කුස වර්ධනය වී ඇත. ඒ වන විටති නිරෝගී දූවරුන් දෙදෙනකුගේ මවක් වූ මෙම මව ගැබිනි සමයේදි කිසිදු රෝගාභාදයකින් පෙලී සිටියේද නැත. මෙම අලුත උපන් දරුවාගේ ගෙල ප්‍රදේශයක් දක්නට නොලැබුන අතර ප්‍රමාණයෙන් ඉතාමත් විශාල වූ ඇස් ඇස් කෙවෙනි වලින් එලියට පැමින තිබුනි. කෙසේ වුවත් මෙම දරුවා ඉපදී පැය භාගයක් අතුලත මියයන ලදී.

මෙය "anencephaly" නමැති තත්වයකි. එහිදී ස්නායු රැහැන් වර්ධනය අඩාල වන අතර මොලය නිසිආකාරයට වර්ධනය නොවන අතර නිසි විභේධනයක්ද දක්නට නොලැබේ. මෙයට ප්‍රධාන හෙතුව වනුයේ පූර්ව ගැබිනි අවධියේදී නිසිපරිදි ෆෝලට් නොලැබීමය.
