During my years in Tuscany I have never really got to know Livorno. Just like another stranger, I passed by and moved through this historical port: quick superficial visits and not enough to capture the city spirit. Historically bound to the industrial port, Livorno is to me a city of struggle, cheap and tasty food, sweat and pain. Well represented by its working class and the vivid colours of its football team, so similar to the maroon of my Torino and so incredibly different. Livorno is also a city of artistic and natural wonders.  I can’t say that I know much of Livorno and I see how locals are deeply attached to their city: knowing not to know, I grab the camera and frame in one picture the melting of these wonders. A supernatural light, orange and teal, sends a kiss to the staring men down on Earth.
