Sleeping ships

The sleeping cats are ships
Lined up upon the ocean.
Parallel in invisible lanes
Avoiding sleepy collision.
Starboard, to the mattress, and
Port side, facing heaven,
Rises and falls in rhythm
With the tide of their snores
