Some of you may have read this story in the papers already but for those that missed it we thought it would be good to cover it.😀

The Foreign Office here in the UK adopted a lovely black and white cat called Palmerston from Battersea Cats and Dogs home! His main duties in the Foreign office will be the reduction of mice!

He has been named after Lord Palmerston:

The cat is named after Lord Palmerston, who was apparently well-liked and was the oldest Prime Minister in history to take office for the first time, at the age of 71.

The big question remaining is will he make friends with his neighbour Larry? Who is resident cat at 10 Downing street!
