International Cat Care (iCatCare) is delighted to announce the twelve stunning winners of its annual photography Competition. Each year iCatCare runs the competition to celebrate fantastic images of felines, the winners of which feature in the charity’s 2019 fundraising calendar.

This year’s competition was looking for images specifically of kittens. Eve Davies, iCatCare’s Digital Communications Officer who organised the competition said: ‘With the theme of ‘Kittenhood’, we were looking for images of gorgeous newborns and curious kittens – whether they were snoozing, playing or just looking irresistibly cute – and we were not disappointed! The response we received was fantastic, with nearly 3,000 images sent in from photographers in over 60 countries. We then had the incredibly tough task of choosing just twelve winning images to feature in the 2019 charity calendar.’
After much deliberation, the twelve winning photographs were chosen. Congratulations go to the following photographers: Sabine Schmidt (Germany), Delila Maslo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Rachel Philip (UK), John Foreman (UK), Catan Ngan (Hong Kong), Claire Mowforth (UK), Rachel Hunter (UK), Vivian Harding (Canada), Lindsey Chadwick (UK) and Sara Grant (UK).
The overall winner is Lindsey Chadwick from the UK, for her adorable image of kitten siblings Mocha and Cappuccino, which unanimously captured the hearts of the competition judges. Lindsey will receive £500 in prize money and her image will grace the cover of iCatCare’s 2019 calendar, which will be sold to raise funds for the charity.
As there were so many amazing entries, a public vote was opened for a 13th winner to be chosen, whose image will feature alongside the dates for 2020 at the end of the calendar. The winner of this was Francesca Barbero from Italy.
