Oh, the joys of Summer! So many activities to do with our dogs, and so little time. We have to battle the heat, but there are a lot of products to help with keeping your dog cool AND have fun! Here are my top 10 products for dogs this summer!
Chill Out Ice Bandana – My mother’s Goldendoodle, Sadie, is a “hot dog” even in the A/C! This is a staple in her house. Sadie wears this in door and out. All you have to do is wet it, put it in the freezer. It’s cooling and helps her regulate her body temperature.
Pet Cooling Gel Mat – We love this product! If your dog doesn’t destroy dog beds, this is even perfect for his/her kennel to keep them extra cool. Or, just bring it inside!
Stainless Steel Water Fountain – Not only is this great because it is stainless steel (plastic can harbor a ton of bacteria!), but the water fountain actually encourages the pet to drink and most pets love running water.
Pocket First Aid Kit – This should be a staple year round, but especially in the summer when dog’s seem to have more “accidents” it’s especially important to have a first aid kit, and this travel size is perfect for your daily dog walks!
Natural Flea + Tick Repellent – This spray is a natural way to repel not only fleas and ticks, but also mosquitos! Ticks are on the hunt in the summer and Lyme disease is a concern. We want those creepy crawlers GONE! Not to mention, it smells good.
Pet Deshedding Brush – I haven’t tried this one personally, but have heard GREAT things about this brush. It’s known to reduce shedding up to 90%, which means help with loosing that winter coat!
Paw Balm – This is a great product to protect your pets paws during the summer. Try to walk in the cooler times (early morning/evening), but this is a great additional security to ensure their paws stay safe on the hot asphalt!
Dog Life Vest – If your dog is a swimmer, this can be a great tool! Whether in the pool or in the lake, it’s important to make sure they stay safe and above water.
Raw Paws Salmon Oil – Again, I love this year round, but it is especially nice in the Summer because it really helps their coats stay healthy! Great for hair and skin, the Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil is a great source of Omega-3 and Omega-6.
