I love Underdogs and think they are pretty awesome. Underdogs are not just dogs - they can be cats, rabbits, dogs, and even people. All rescue animals are underdogs, but older animals as well as those with emotional baggage or physical issues are the super duper underdogs. The mission of this blog has always been (and will always be) about rooting for the underdog, making sure they get a fair shot and hopefully a second chance. Underdogs are awesome and here's why!

Top Five Reasons Underdogs Are Awesome
1. They keep trying no matter what. Underdogs may be down, but they are never out. They face obstacles, lots of them, but they stay the course and persevere. They may not finish first (or sometimes at all), but they keep going anyway.
2. They have the best stories. It's nice when things work out perfectly, but there's no story without some struggle. Underdogs know all about falling down and sometimes being pushed down. But they are all about getting back up again (after the fall) - and that makes them extra awesome.

3. They are super special and one-of-a-kind. Underdogs are unique and completely and utterly themselves. They don't let their life circumstances or struggles define them. Underdogs don't take the easy road or the popular road- they make their own roads.
4. They have HUGE hearts. Not sure this one even needs an explanation, but here goes. Underdogs don't alway get what they want or even what they need, but they keep going anyway. Quite simply, they run on extraordinary, unstoppable, unbreakable hearts.

5. Because when they actually do come out on top, they take a whole bunch of others with them. When underdogs succeed or overcome, they allow other underdogs to experience their success with them. Most of us have a little bit of underdog in us and when one of us succeeds, we all succeed.
Underdogs are fierce, funny, bruised, complicated, resilient, incredibly strong, compassionate, unbreakable and in my eyes, awesome. Please consider adopting your very own underdog today!
