Saving Money in your Everyday Lifestyle: Our Top Tips

Here at Aci Money, we know how important it is to save money when you can, so we're bringing you these easy top 10 tips every week on a different part of your everyday routine. We'll start with some general tips revolving around your daily routine, and how you can cut out the ££ in the most unlikely of places.


1. In order to save that little bit of money from your water bill, cut your morning shower short by 3 minutes. Every little helps and gradually this will help.

E.G- If you shower for approximately 8 minutes every day, and reduce this to 5, you'd be saving 21 minutes of water and time every week. That equates to 1092 minutes of water every year! Think what you could be doing with that extra bit of money and time...


2. Ladies, this is one for you! We all dread this moment when you get to the end of your foundation and keep forgetting to replace it. Well, we have just the solution for you. Simply add a drop of water to your bottle of foundation to get some extra wear out of it. (Thank us later!)


3. We've all been there, when you know you shouldn't buy that bagel from Pret, or another meal deal from Subway, but you haven't had time to prepare anything at home, nor have you had time. Well, with those 3 extra minutes from your Morning Shower, you've got enough time to make a salad or sandwich. Stay fit and stay rich at the same time- every little helps, as one famous supermarket preaches.


.4. We know how you can save that daily trip to Starbucks but still get your morning fix of coffee. It's a simple answer really, start brewing coffee at home and take it in a flask. Not only are you being frugal with your pennies, your also monitoring how much coffee you are having in the day.


5. Now, lets be real. How often have you actually used that gym membership that you're paying £40 a month for? We understand that there was determination to visit there daily, but that just ain't happening is it? We suggest a run around the local park or even investing in a home work out DVD. A lover of abdominal crunches? why not buy your own equipment - it'll be cheaper in the long run. 

6. We all know how tempting Dominoes two for Tuesdays is, or going for a quick cheeky Nandos, but stop! Why not try the healthier option of a weekly shop where you can plan meals and save your ££. Aswell, it's easier, cheaper and healthier to cook your meals in bulk. 


7. Lets be realistic, how many of those TV channels do you really watch? Do you really need them all...Why not cut down on your freeview package, and pay only for the one you use. It's hard to admit  that your guilty pleasure is Geordie Shore, but now you don't need Sky to get MTV. It's available on .most freeview providers, and MTV's website show you the highlights for absolutely free.
