15 Braided Hairstyles for Girls That Are Both Dainty and Neat

Braided Hairstyles for girls are so awesomely beautiful that Disney made them even more famous. Elsa’s Braid was so popular, it was unreal. Then, many girls tried to copy Rapunzel’s braid to the best of their hair thickness’ ability.

TBH, I love Braided Hairstyles. I use to wear my hair with a side top french braid whenever I had a singing gig. It made me look younger, dainty and perfectly neat.

Braided hairstyles are a smashing trend lately because of them being able to beautifully keep your hair out of your face. It does the same thing a ponytail does, only a lot less stiff.

Many teenage girls default to braided hairstyles and they really take the time to learn them.

So, check out our top braided hairstyle picks and try ’em out!

Dainty Braided Hairstyles

Curly Braided Top Knot

Women with naturally curly hair can get away with a really volumized bun. Some women already find the usual top bun to be too common and boring. You can spice it up by adding a loose french braid starting on your fringe connecting to your bun.

Stacked Fishtail Updo

Most women don’t have hours to allot to doing their hair. This why 10-15 minute braided hairstyles are heaven sent! There’s no need for overkill products, curling iron and what not. You can do this updo in less than 10-15 minutes! Isn’t that great? Depending on how quick you can get dressed and do your makeup, you can get fully ready in an hour or so.

Braid for Wet Hair

This particular style is meant for wet hair. There’s no denying we’ve woken up late for work more than once and those days left no time for our hair. If you’re this kind of woman, then you’ll love this two-minute braid.

Double Dutch Half Up

A very subtle and delicate look is perfect for cold date nights, prom look or school. The loose braids provide lots of volume and this one of those braided hairstyles that can be done in 5-10 minutes!

Mermaid Braid

How perfect is this for a walk date with your special someone, right? It has a soft and elegant look which is perfect for the girl-next-door type of gals. Actually, this would look good on anyone with thick hair. One of my favorite braided hairstyles!

4 Strand Waterfall

Personally, I love the waterfall braid. But, it’s one of those braided hairstyles I can never get no matter how hard I practice. To this day, I have not gotten the hang of it. Maybe the video below will help you more than it did me! :)

No-Braid Braid

For those challenged by braiding, here’s a clever trick to getting braids without actually braiding. It’s all about pulling hair through another ponytail and doing the same in succession. It’s pretty easy if you ask me and that’s saying a lot! ;)

2-in-1 Dutch

I am in love with this! Dutch braided hairstyles are my weakness and the gradient colors of her hair make this even dreamier! You can opt for either having half down or keeping the rest in a messy ponytail.

Dutch Pull Through Combo Braid

Here’s a style that gives you a little bit of both worlds. It doesn’t have that much actual braiding but you’re sure as heck going to need quite a number of elastic ties to accomplish the pull-through braid.

Wrapped Pull-Thru Braid

A crown of braids? Yes, please! This makes you look like royalty without being so girly. Something about this hairstyle gives off a strong yet feminine feel to me. It sort of reminds me of the queen of the Disney movie Brave.

Daenerys Targaryen Braid

Holler to all the GOT fans we have here! Go ahead and channel your inner mother of dragons with this braided hairstyles tutorial. This is Daenerys Targaryen’s signature braid. Let’s face it. We’ve all been wondering in the back of our minds if we can pull off her braids.

Check out the full tutorial here.

Side Swept Fishtail

Would you agree that this is a great fall look? There’s something about the season that does wonders for your hair. Probably because there’s barely any humidity and you don’t have to extensively wash your hair every day.

Dutch Fishtail Combo Side Braid

Start with a soft loose dutch braid crown and finish with a distinct and well-formed fishtail braid. I love how delicate the crown looks and how defined the tail is. A perfect balance of both sides.

Side Elastic Braid

Not in a million years and not even a million hair products would help me get this full volume of braids. My hair is paper thin which means braided hairstyles don’t work all that well for me. All I can work is a side braid on the top of my head and I’m happy with that. But for those of you who can totally achieve this thickness, give this a try!

Rope Twist Combo Braid

Source

Summer is right around the corner and we don’t want our messy hair getting us even hotter. Keep it clean, neat and looking pretty with a rope combo braid. That’s three different braids in one and it only takes about 5-10 minutes to pull off!

There you have it, ladies. Fifteen braided hairstyles to get you through your daily hair routine.

As I have said in our previous hairstyle articles, don’t get frustrated if you don’t get it right the first time. It takes practice and patience!

Once you get the hang of it, you’ll be a braiding expert!
