Why is there still so much to do?

Christmas is over now and New Year has been and gone, we have had a fabulous time although the festivities started badly, we always visit hubby's cousin and her family the weekend before Christmas, but we got snow bound so could not go, but after that everything went swimmingly.

The boys were very excited, Father Christmas visited our house and we ended up looking like a small regional branch of Toys R Us!! Then over to Mums for Christmas Dinner with all the family, what a fab dinner it was too, Mum and Dad outdid themselves, D ate his own body weight in pigs in blamkets and C did the same with the sausage meat!
We came home on Boxing Day for a visit from Granny and Grandpa, which was a rare treat. Later that day I had a phonecall from Mr Father Christmas to say that as the boys had been very good that year he had left an extra secret present in our house!!! They eventually found a DSi XL and were thrilled (hubby and I could not believe the peace that descended when it was switched on, two very transfixed little guys!!).
Anyway back to mums a couple of days later for the annual Panto visit, then New Year was upon us. We all played Game of Life on the Wii, had a couple of drinks and saw the New Year in as a large very happy family.
Next day we were off to Wiltshire to visit hubbys cousin (the one that we couldn't go to before christmas because of the snow), another fab time had by all and another Christmas Dinner!!

We came home on Sunday night late, so Monday (yesterday) was the removal of Christmas decorations, this took all day as we decorate the whole house and had 4 trees to deal with as well as room decs.

Today is Tuesday and I seem to still have a mountain to climb regarding tidying and putting away, the boys are at home and could help but I think it will be easier if I leave them to play and just do it myself. After that is all done, I must clear out the kitchen to remove all leftover bits of christmas cake etc, then it will be looking out uniforms, school bags, PE kits and all other sundry items ready for school tomorrow, after that I might get round to tackling the huge amounts of washing that needs doing.

What I really should do though is stop blogging and just go and start it!!
