Orbit to the moon and be a star shaker with these cool cosmic stars! These holographic shakers are made with Hygloss Acetate Sheets, Sequins and Holographic Stars! Boom, instant fun!
Shakers are perfect for parties, playtime or anytime you need some cosmic fun. Create with the kids at home or during a party. Everyone will want to make one.
Materials
- Acetate Sheets, Hygloss Products
- Holographic Stars, Hygloss Products
- Bucket O’Sequins, Hygloss Products
- Cardstock-Paper Brights, Hygloss Products
- Paper Straws
- Craft Glue
- Other; Scissors, Small Jar Lid, Sharpie
Step One
Trace the small jar lid or any round template onto an acetate sheet. Cut two shapes.
Step Two
Cut a 1.5 inch by 6 inch strip from card stock. Glue ends together, let dry. Cut small a fringe pattern into each edge. Step Three
Tuck one side of the fringe in and line with glue. Attach to the center of a holographic star, press and hold for 35 seconds or until the glue sets.
Step Four
Fill the base with sequins. Fold top fringe boarder in, line with glue and attach the cut acetate to it. Press and hold in place until glue sets.
Step Five
Cut a circle shape into the center of the second holographic star. Glue to the top of the Acetate Lined Shaker. Let dry.
Step Six
Cut a circle shape into the center of the second holographic star. Glue to the top of the acetate lined shaker. Let dry.

For the Shaker Wands:
Step One
Trace the small jar lid or any round template onto an acetate sheet. Cut two shapes.
Step Two
Glue the circle shape to the center of a holographic star, let dry.
Step Three
Add some sequins to the top of the acetate circle. Glue the second acetate circle to the top of this. Let dry.
Step Four
Cut a circle shape into the center of the second holographic star. Glue to the top of the acetate lined shaker. Let dry.
Step Five
Attach a paper straw to the back of the base star, glue in place. Then glue another holographic star over this, to hide the top of the straw. Let dry. Use paper clips or paper clamps to hold in place until dry. The whole family will have hours of fun making these shakers. Perfect for all types of parties or playtime fun.
