Sew Mine Box Subscription Box Review

Now I love a good Subscription Box, and so far have managed to find one for everyone in the family, including the dog!!! But this one I was not expecting to find.

I have always found it hard shopping for my mum, she has absolutely everything she could want (well within my budget anyway!). So last year I started looking around for things she might like that she doesn’t actually already have. Subscription boxes have taken off massively in the UK and we have reviewed a number already, but when I came across Sew Mine Box I thought this is the present for my mum.

My mum has always been into arts and crafts and enjoys sewing (thank God as she has saved me a fortune making all of the curtains in my house!), so this was a perfect unique gift.

I was sent this subscription box for review, so I thought there would be no better person to review it. My mum took it away and was given instructions (from me!) to give honest feedback so I could write this review.

Honest Review of the Sew Mine Subscription Box

The box was of excellent quality and was very sturdy.

When the box was opened it was all very nicely packaged in white tissue paper with a nice sticker keeping it all together.

Inside the box was also very nice packaged. There was some lovely fabric (very good quality), plenty of cotton, needles, instructions plus absolutely everything you need to complete these designs.

Each month you are sent two sewing kits, this box is from November ( I have been a bit delayed with completing the blog) and inside there was a tea cosy and 2 egg cup warmers.

All sewing kits can be done either by hand or sewing machine, which is great as not everyone has got a sewing machine, so really perfect for all abilities.

Mums thoughts:

Positives:
  • Everything Included
  • Lovely sewing products
  • Excellent stitch sheet
  • Easy to make
  • Instructions sheet with step by step approach
  • All hand made but could also be sewing machine made
  • Lovely quality box
  • Great pins and needles envelope
Not so Good:
  • Poor photos on the step by step sheet, made it difficult to visualise what was being asked.
  • Too much interlining given (not sure why this would be a problem, but I am writing what my mum had said!)
  • Too much cotton (wow I really think she was taking this give positive and negative feedback too seriously!!)

Overall

Value for money was excellent, I purposely hadn’t told my mum the cost of the box and she about fell over when I told her it was only £10 per month.

This box was sent for free for an honest review
