First thing my kids do when they come home from School is ask: “where is mommy”?
I have one girl in secondary school, one in primary, and the little boy in daycare
Yesterday, I decided to run an (experiment) on them; I said: “she is in the kitchen, WHY?”
Every one of them gave the same answer: “NOTHING”
I got it, just knowing that mommy is present gives them the sense of assurance and comfort; they just need to know that mommy is there
I am jealous; I envy moms that the fact that they exist makes their kids happy
PS: when I am not home, my kids never ask “Where is daddy” : -(
