Filling and Dumping Buckets

A very simple Filling and dumping experience will help build strength and coordination of small motor muscles for babies and tods.

Today’s activity requires:

  • a couple of buckets (various sizes)
  • objects to use to fill: I used shape blocks! (other recommended objects you can use: foam letters or numbers and balls)

This experience will also provide them with the opportunity to explore spatial awareness as they observe which bucket holds more and which holds less. You can extend this activity by counting or identifying the colour/shape as the child picks it up and puts it in the bucket!
