For Chase’s first birthday, I bought him a Slide

With assistance, Chase uses his gross motor skills, balance and body coordination to go down the slide. I added a mini ball pit at the end to further cultivate his curiosity.

After a few days with the slide I noticed that Chase was more interested being underneath the slide. I added some books, a mirror, a night light (it projects stars on the wall), and would sometimes throw a blanket over to make a tent.

I also cut out some shapes on sparkly paper for more visual stimulation. To encourage language skills, I would point and identify them so that when he is ready he can try to repeat the familiar word and connect it with the shape!
