Hello yes I am still alive and yes I am still pregnant :P

I haven’t written in a while, too busy getting through the last month of pregnancy!

I must say, the third trimester has been my favourite trimester. I feel great compared to the first and second (weird I know because I have been told that women often feel otherwise!)

I have been organizing the sh*t out of all the Baby things and I always feel great afterwards! It really feeds into my excitement!

Chase is now 10 months old (8 months corrected) and he is on the move all the time! I have to wrestle him into his diaper and clothes! I usually win, but when he gets away, I just let him crawl around naked for a bit. At the beginning, I would dread it and become so consumed in thoughts like, the floor is dirty, he might get rug burn, he might eat that cherrio under the sofa…etc. but then now I look at it like, he is having fun being free, just let him enjoy and explore for a bit and try again later.

I used to dislike gates because I felt they create a no environment, but now I am using gates religiously. It really helps on those days where it is a bit harder for me to move. Chase is still free to explore some parts of the house but I have blocked off the kitchen. Sometimes I just keep him in the living room with me because my hip has been giving out lately and my doctor advised me to rest when I can.

The only time where I actually ate salads throughout my pregnancy lol! I am able to eat healthy again! I didn’t want anything to do with greens during my first and second trimester but these days I have been making myself a salad for lunch. Feeling super good about it!

What am I drinking? Red raspberry leaf tea. Apparently it strengthens the uterus and a bunch of other good stuff.

This Ball is my best friend. It hurts to sit on a flat surface after a while. So I found out thst having a birth ball/exercise ball during your pregnancy actually has alot of benefits:

No pregnant mother will argue the fact, that it is hard to sit when you are pregnant, no matter how comfortable that couch is. Your posture is especially important in the last weeks of your pregnancy.

Whenever your sit – sit on your birthing ball it:

Increases blood flow to the uterus, placenta and the baby.

Can relief spinal pressure.

Will provide comfortable support for your knees and ankles.

Will give counter-pressure to the perineum and thighs.

The upright posture works with gravity which will encourage the descent of the baby.

You can make different moves and still rest by leaning forward, pelvic rocking, swaying, doing hip circles and figure eights and of course gently bouncing to help move the baby down.

Can increase the pelvic outlet as much as 30%, which also encourages baby’s descent.

One of the most important benefits of using birth ball during your pregnancy is positioning baby in the right position right before the birth. Birth ball is very useful for that.

I mentioned earlier that my hips are beginning to give out, so I have been reheating my hot pack and place it directly to the area and it reallt helps. My doctor says ligaments are loosening up and giving out due to shifting.

Stretching and other gentle exercises have helped keep my energy level up and my body strong as well. I follow Fit Pregnancy for all my workout inspiration and motivation! My favourites are the squat and pelvic floor exercises.

I can’t remember the last time I went to a spa or got my nails done..So I booked myself an afternoon of pampering tomorrow and I am really REALLY looking forward to it

Baby can come any day now! Can’t wait to meet you baby boy!!!
