One of my favorite things in the whole world is visiting our National Parks! National Park Week is quickly approaching and this is the perfect way to get out there and explore our National Parks. Don’t know how to celebrate this amazing week? Here are a few ways to get you started! Check out a new park One way to celebrate National Park Week is by checking out a new park. Whether you travel to a National Park close to you or you travel further, go ahead. I think you’ll love being able to explore National Parks. Enjoy free entrance Something you will love about National Park Week is this means free entrance. During the week of April 15 through 23, you can enjoy free entrance into National Parks! You can also explore the National Parks beyond these as there are special discounts available. There are also free or reduced rate annual passes available for active duty military families, fourth grade students, senior citizens, volunteers, and people with permanent disabilities. Bring a friend with you Maybe you have a friend that has never been to a National Park. I don’t think there is a better week to get them hooked. Bring a friend with you to explore our nation’s National Parks. Friends don’t let friends sit inside during National Park Week. Missing out on free entrance to a National Park near you is crazy! Enjoy hosted activities at a lot of National Parks “On April 23, dozens of parks, including Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Shenandoah National Park, Capulin Volcano National Monument, Tumacácori National Historical Park, Prince William Forest Park, Hot Springs National Park, and park partners will host activities that include hikes, health screenings, yoga, and volleyball.” If you have yet to choose a date for getting outside and enjoying free National Park entrances, this is it! I think I have given you some excellent reasons/ways to celebrate National Park Week! Get out there and enjoy nature, it’s FREE! Visit www.nps.gov to plan your park visit. Use #FindYourPark, #EncuentraTuParque and #NPS101 on social media during National Park Week to join in the fun! Here are a few of the coolest items to bring along: Yeti Lithium Portable Power Station: There¹s no reason to go without power for those items that do need a charge. Unless you want to end up like Tom Haverford, Goal Zero¹s new portable power station makes charging items while in the great outdoors much easier, and allows for the comforts of home to travel with you. Coolest Cooler: So cool it¹s even labeled so. This cooler is sure to impress even the most experienced of campers. More than just a storage space, it comes with a Bluetooth speaker, USB plug-in and a built-in blender so that you can have a margarita on the rocks while you¹re sitting outside staring at them. ROK Espresso Maker: This espresso maker was designed to function without a plug-in and is environmentally friendly as well, so you can sip your coffee completely guilt-free
