Etcetera Bits: Was Jack the Ripper Actually a Woman?

That is one theory that many of us don’t think about. Why do we always seem to think men are the only Killers in the world? Women are just as capable of being serial killers as well as just being crazy.

If Jack the Ripper was actually Jill the Ripper, what would change about our thinking of other killers that we haven’t caught? It would make sense if other killers turned out to be women instead of the automatic thing we think when we hear about a serial killer.

If a Woman did commit the murders, why sign the letters Jack? I guess she would want to throw everyone off. She obviously would be mad at the victims if they were having sex with the men of the area, married or not. She may have been a lesbian and for some reason one or all of the victims turned her down. That would probably set her off. There are many reasons why people snap. Did Jack/Jill snap or were they just normal and wanted to just kill people? People have acted that way for centuries.

One woman named Mary Pearcey has been thought to maybe be Jack. She murdered her lovers wife and child in the style of Jack’s victims.

Lizzie Williams, wife of once suspect John Williams, has been thought to have been the killer.

Whether it was Jack or Jill, it is a wild and crazy ride with all the theories and suspects over the decades. Who is your suspect? Did a person work alone or were there multiple murderers?

Stay safe out there. Don’t walk around in the fog. Til next time happy hunting.
