Sounds Scary isn’t it? Have you ever given it a thought? “SKYNET” “Global Digital Defence Network” these words ring a bell?

Let me refresh your memories a bit, I am referring to the legendary James Cameron Sci-Fi Franchise “Terminator” which deficits the battle between Earth’s sole crusader aka John Connor and Skynet’s Synthetic Intelligent Machine Network and then we all know how it  ends.

Synthetic Intelligent Machine network sounds fancy, but what does it exactly mean?

Ladies and gentlemen let me introduce you to the following   modern day Digital Concepts.

Artificial Intelligence: AI as we all like to call it. It’s the “secret ingredient” which makes your business operate seamlessly to its optimum potential. AI like many other technologies was initially explored with the idea of replicating human brain or at least some part of its mundane functions. Before I dig any deeper on this, lets first understand there is a fundamental difference between how a human brain functions vis a vis a Machine .It’s the NOT vs BUT. AI as rightly explained by Techopedia.com as an area of computer science that emphasises the creation of intelligent machines that work and react like humans.

While currently AI engines like SIRI, Google Maps are able to perform impressive functions but are not creative and are unable to make decisions beyond precisely what they are programmed to do and therefore they are termed as ANI or Artificial Narrow Intelligence where AI is limited to a single task or unable to self-evolve like Humans. What we strive towards is making AGI –Artificial General Intelligence which can reason, Plan, and handle complex functions in a much smarter way than all the collective minds on earth.

This is the part when it starts getting scary –Where the Creation becomes smarter than the Creator. Well it does not have to be this way. Are we heading towards the "Digital Ragnarok”….lets stack our arsenals!
