Fuel

There is a site on the Internet from where you can buy used aeroplanes.  I don't mean those little two-seaters either, I mean proper Boeing 737 and 747 commercial jets.  I got to looking because, while I was on the Plane home, I got to imagining how you could turn an old plane into a house.  I was picturing where the corridor would go and how the rooms would be laid out.  It would be unconventional but it would be a huge home.  Getting in and out would be an issue because you would need those large aeroplane steps, but other than that, it would be fairly straightforward.

Old jet airliners can be purchased online for a few thousand pounds.  Of course the specimen you would be buying would probably be far from airworthy and you'd have to spend tens of thousands on it just to get it airworthy.  That's probably the truth about most things.  You can buy lots of items for a fairly low price, but the running costs are high - like my van.  I have it two years, it cost about £10,500 and I've easily put more than that amount through it in Fuel in those two years.  I need a more fuel efficient means of transport, or customers who live closer to me.
