She walked into an Empty House,

Not just any house,

Her family home,

All her life.

She stood in each room,

Each empty room,

And although her footsteps

Sounded loud and hollow,

Àlmost mocking her

In the silence.

Her memories peopled

Every room.

Laughter,

Love,

Life,

Crashed in.

A house,

Just another house on the street,

To the idle eye,

But to her,

A casket of precious, priceless treasure.
