Brr..its cold out there! and this winter air mixed with snow, wind and sun can wreak some major havoc on your hair! So over the next week or so we are going to post some Winter Hair Care Tips to help you protect your hair and fend off the annoying side effects of winter such as hat hair and static!

Now, I don’t know about you but one of the things that drives me crazy over winter time is static! It’s in my clothes and in my hair and it drives me bonkers! So, I decided to dedicate this first post on how to fight off that static cling in hair as I am sure I’m not the only one suffering here! So, here it is….

1. Get your hands on a moisturizing shampoo. Not only does this help reduce static and frizz but it gives your hair the extra nourishment it needs during winter. We like Amir Argan Oil Shampoo cause it leaves hair super soft and shiny!

2. Use an Ionic Hair Dryer as it will help seal in moisture as well as reduce static, frizz and annoying flyaway’s.

3. Use a leave in conditioner to help keep hair static at bay. The extra moisture will also protect hair from the drying winter air. We like Macadamia nourishing Leave-In Cream as it adds moisture and shine while reducing tangles in a weightless formula.

4. Stash a few dryer sheets in your purse for immediate relief of surprise static. Run half a sheet over hair to help reduce static cling.

5. Use a hair brush made with natural bristles. These types of hair brushes help to distribute your hairs natural oils while brushing leaving hair shinier while fighting static.
