As a child I remember being up one stormy night with my Mother. It was raining heavily, there was no electricity; we waited by candlelight for my father to return home. He had gone to another city, which had been flooded.We had no idea where he was, what was the condition of the roads, when he would reach.  The wait seemed  endless! And when he finally did arrive, we were already half dead with worry.
     Now thanks to mobiles, I know exactly where my husband is. He calls home when he starts from office.  And even during long trips one is always connected.
   What more could want....Peace of mind finally!
   You must be kidding ! Just how did you assume that the mobile phone was an inanimate object.... it has a personality of its own, and a strong one mind you! Sure it keeps you connected but only with its own self.

      My first introduction to the Internet was as a research scholar in a life science lab. I remember doing Google searches then. Keywords had to be really specific . And even with much brainstormed key words you got really weird results.
    In the evenings we used to wait for our boss to leave the lab. E.mails were the high point of our lives then .We thought Email was really cool ......sadly it was the exact opposite of what our bosses thought!
    Now as a mother of two young kids, I can't think of a better friend than the Internet! Its a life saver....Quick look for a poem for three year olds, too many peaches at home.... look for a recipe, information on a science project for my son, which dog would be best for our home, urgent.....what exactly do baby mynah birds feed on. And The Net never disappoints, even better....all this is for free and I don't have to move out of my home.
    Could it get any better!

   Well I just have to pick up a newspaper or a magazine to tell me just how wrong I am, how outdated, how out of league.There are articles and articles, blasting the net. It appears now, that the net has a even stronger personality than the mobile phone. It simply makes people forget everything else!
  And now that mobiles and net has joined hands we are surely doomed.
     Just how does a creation get bigger than the creator?
     And Just How do we manage this feat every time!

     To give us due credit, I think we are the only species on Earth, who can find a wicked use to everything nice.
    The simple reason is that we just can't have enough of a good thing!
    We've lost the ability to say "No thank you! That will be enough".
    I remember when my daughter was an year and a half old, she could easily refuse another bite of chocolate or chips, and I really admired that ability, but at three she knows that anything in shiny packets should never be refused, I guess that the age when we were all enlightened!
   Don't believe me! Just monitor yourself next time, when there tempting ice cream inside the fridge . Finishing the damn thing would give you some peace.

  Even a lion gives up its kill when its full. But not us, the great human race, we just don't know when to stop.

So what the next best option? Blast the cause!Well  I'll start and you can add your favourites: the damned ice creams, burgers, televisions, mobiles, ipods, movies, Internet, nuclear energy....... . Happily ever after.
