| Light snow, dreary skies and view |
It's not that I get nothing done. No, I do get some things done each day. It's just that there is so much to do that what I get done is just a drop or two in the bucket. It's 3:48pm and so far I have, after sleeping late and washing myself, cooked for the chickens, cooked for us, fed the cats twice, tended the woodstove, taken my meds, done today's jigsaw puzzle, suffered several bouts of gut wrenches, and briefly checked email and news. I feel sluggish and sleepy.
Je suis simplement là
It snowed lightly for much of the day. The sky was dull and depressing to see. I didn't really feel like practicing French but I would have lost my 99 day streak unless I practiced at least one lesson. Adverbs 3 was the only un-golded unit on my French tree, so I strengthened it back to gold and attained my 100th day streak.
Starting at 4:17pm, after my French lesson, Toad and I watched a double feature: the library DVDs August: Osage County and Forget Paris (re-watched). He was ready to go to bed at that point, so I gave him his meds and readied those for morning. Off he went. Me, I watched Justified S1E10-13.
I made myself a PBJ for dinner. Not a wise decision, but I had a craving for it.
I realized just before midnight that tomorrow is a holiday and so there will be no mail pick-up. No need to rush to the post office to mail the pouch of due items back until Tuesday afternoon. More time to finish one of the two books I'm reading; the other I will try to renew.
