When a close friend who taught you valuable lessons in life goes on to the ever after, you stop where you stand and take a good hard look at your life and realise you can end just as easily any time. And if you are wise enough, you reevaluate the important things in life.
Mr Lawrence was just such a man.
I left to private practice for many reasons. It was gradual, but in the end, as I realised several years ago (as i am reminded again today) how short and fleeting life is. I needed to seize back the time that is rightly mine and do what i want with it.
