College News: Something Is Boring In The State Of Rhode Island
Question: How do you know it is a slow news day when it comes to the world of college? When the major media outlets recycle stories about what students are Packing for college as, "students are packing the following Hot Items with them to school." I'm not kidding. The Providence Journal has an article out today saying that the new hot items for dorm rooms are Xboxes, iPods, and Laptops. They also make the stupid statement that televisions are no longer popular...which is funny...because last I checked you need a television to use your Xbox. And Xboxes? That is how you know the paper just pulled this article out of their ass. You know next year they'll run the same article, only this time you can sub out Xbox with Wii, iPod with the new Microsoft portable, and laptop with Desktop. Don't believe me about the desktop? That's fine...just keep an eye on your exploding battery.
