One of the best times that you will have in your life will be a visit to a popular theme Park. Many people go to these amusement parks each year and some make it yearly family vacations. Parents and children of all ages enjoy the chance to just relax and have fun with their families. Find a theme park near you to visit or pack everyone up and head to one that’s across the country.

California has many amusement parks to choose from. If you’ll be in Anaheim stop at Disneyland for a day or two. This park also has Disney’s California Adventure. Taking the time to enjoy either park will allow you to create fond memories. It’s fun for all. Take a ride on the coasters, see the Disney characters, etc. They have many hotel accommodations on site at the park so if you want to go for a week you won’t have to find a place to stay outside the park. They offer many packages as well. In Carlsbad, California stop by Legoland. The park is divided into several areas and although it doesn’t have as many roller coasters as other amusement parks it still generates a lot of attention. The park looks as though it was built from Lego’s, hence the name. Stop by Los Angeles for Universal Studios Hollywood. It’s a movie studio and was one of the oldest parks. It has a Woody Woodpecker theme and you’ll see many references to the old and famous movies of Hollywood.

If you go to Florida to the Lake Buena Vista/Orlando area you will find many parks to visit. The highlight park is Walt Disney World Resort, or Disneyworld. Disneyworld is the largest and most popular theme park in the US. Inside it’s borders are four theme parks, 20+ themed hotels, two water parks, restaurants, shopping, etc. The four theme parks are Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Those four parks are all different and hold a new adventure for you to enjoy. Go to Cinderalla’s Castle in the Magic Kingdom, or Spaceship Earth at Epcot, take a look at the Sorcerer’s Hat in Hollywood Studios and be sure to make it to the Tree of Life in Animal Kingdom. Other places of interest in Disneyworld are Typhoon Lagoon, Downtown Disney, Disney Boardwalk, Blizzard Beach, and many others. In Orlando you will find Universal Studios. This park is dedicated to the movies and brings them to life. You will find Universal Islands of Adventure, Wet N Wild, and other divisions of fun at this park. This Florida park is another one that is great for the kids especially since they get to see some of their favorite movie characters up close and personal.

SeaWorld is a marine wildlife amusement park. Explore the orca whales, sea lions and dolphins or sit down to watch one of the shows. There are different Sea World Parks around the US. There are currently three in the US in San Diego, California; San Antonia, Texas; and Orlando, Florida. Each park has their own highlights. The Shark Encounter has you inside an acrylic tube and put into a sharks tank. Or you can take a “helicopter ride” through the Arctic and land in the polar bear zone where you can get a close view of them. Little kids will love the opportunity to see all the animals and older people will get to see animals they have never seen before. The parks also have some other attractions such as roller coasters, water rides, shows and other entertainment..

In Pigeon Forge, TN Dolly Parton designed a theme park named Dollywood. This park has water rides, roller coasters, shows, concerts, etc. Sometimes you may even catch Dolly herself walking around. It’s located at the base of the Smoky Mountain National Park so on some of the rides you might even see a view of the mountains. If you have time to play around sit and watch one of the shows. Dolly wanted the park to be enjoyable for all young and old. Many events are held at Dollywood as well. Food and entertainment will have you coming back for more. In Pigeon Forge, just like Gatlinburg, you will be able to find plenty of accommodations, especially mountain cabins.
