Last weekend, I started Seeds for my balcony garden and a new windowsill herb garden and things are already starting to happen.

These teeny sprouts growing on my windowsill are either basil or parsley. I planted both in the same planter and it's too early to tell them apart.


And these little ones are a variety of african marigold called Crackerjack that will grow extra large yellow and orange blooms. I also planted french marigolds from seeds I collected last Fall but they haven't sprouted yet. I hope they do because I've never collected seeds before and really didn't know what I was doing. These are growing on the kitchen counter for now but will move to the balcony in about four weeks.
