It's Official, I Need A Bigger Place

Mom, Kelly and I got up bright and early this morning for the Flamboro Antique Show at the Brampton Fairgrounds. This show used to be held at the Aberfoyle Antique Market but in recent years has alternated between Milton and Brampton in an effort to attract more Toronto shoppers. Big mistake. A lot of the original dealers have dropped out and the show has gone way downhill. But it wasn't all bad, I picked up this gorgeous West German vase for only $20. What a score!

Because Brampton didn't sufficiently satisfy our antique habit, we headed to St. Jacobs afterward where I saw an almost identical vase for $50. I also picked up a large West German planter and a barely played Dr. Hook album.

Did you know that Shel Silverstein, who wrote most of Dr. Hook's songs, also wrote Johnny Cash's A Boy Named Sue? I just found out today when I was looking up Dr. Hook online. Silverstein's book, Where The Sidewalk Ends, was a HUGE part of my childhood.

But back to the pottery... it is now imperative that I move to a bigger place because, with the addition of this new vase, my collection has now outgrown the one and only shelf available to house it.

Three of these pieces are actually Poole.
Can you tell which ones?

Collecting and tiny downtown condos do not mix!
