I have not been out in ages. On top of that, it was time for a date night. I felt the need to completely show off since I’m usually pretty modest and reserved. What better way to do this and start my fashion blog than to find the Perfect little black dress? This Dress had the perfect body contouring shape as if it was specially made for my body. The best part of this dress? It was a glorious thrift store find for $6! This was the best buy I could have found. I love new clothes just like everyone else but there are some wonderful finds at your local goodwill. Also, more popular thrift stores might have a better variety for shoppers.

The yellow jacket that accompanies the dress was a clearance find from New York and Company! Yellow is one of my favorite colors so I just had to have this statement piece to make many of my other possibly bland colored outfits really pop. I bought it over-sized to contrast the contour in the dress. The velvet in the jacket might be a little warm for summertime, but since I’m cold-natured and my night was mostly spent indoors, this was the perfect piece to stave away excessive air conditioning.

The shoes I wore were more work appropriate, I could have improved upon the outfit with an edgy pair of boots like those below. This way, I would have had a little more height along with a trendy foundation.

These boots have many of the standard options but with a faux wooden heel and distressed slits at the top, it changes up the look a bit.
