Detroit auto shop owner, Robert Carmack, held a press conference describing the political crooks harassing him for the last 15 years while he tried to develop 28 acres on the waterfront to help the city. “I’ve been through Mayor after mayor after mayor that demand bribes or they’d do nothing and sue me.” Carmack says he has other videos embarrassing to the Mayor that he is withholding because of threats by Mayor Duggan.

After Rep. John Conyers was forced from his congressional seat for years of sexual misconduct, many of his relatives tried to grab his seat. After they bungled it over and over, the seat went to Detroit City Council member, Brenda Jones.

Another Detroit resurgence story: Detroit Receiving Hospital failed another inspection for dirty surgical instruments being exposed to patients. This is the second time in 2 years that a Detroit hospital will be threatened with the loss of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement for endangering patients. Another Detroit hospital, Harper University Hospital, was just cited for dirty kitchen and food handling, along with bugs flying around intensive care patients.

Ford Motor Company donated a 40-foot shipping container to the Detroit Cass Community Social Services. They will use hydroponics and LED lights to grow vegetables, without sunlight or soil, to provide meals for Detroit’s homeless population. They expect to produce hundreds of thousands of produce a year.

Two more Detroit restaurant icons bite the dust: Cheli’s Chili and Hard Rock Café’ are closing. Chris Chelios is moving to Chicago and Hard Rock says they “haven’t found a new spot to lease.”

In political insanity news, unless you pledge fealty, in writing, to the new CEO of Wayne County Airport Authority, you get fired. Keep is classy there Chad Newton!

What were you up to at age 25?? Detroiter Earnest Cargile, 25, has become Detroit’s #1 Most Wanted Fugitive. He is wanted by the Detroit Police for shooting into a crowd and then shooting from a vehicle at another vehicle; they also want him for witness intimidation; he is wanted by the Livonia Police for illegal drug charges; he is wanted by Delaware County in Ohio for illegal drugs and firearm charges; and he has 18 prior arrests.
