Mercedes is the most recent car brand to pull out of the Detroit Auto Show. They just made the announcement for next year’s show. Car brands that have already pulled out of Detroit’s show include: Porsche, Jaguar, Volvo, and Mazda. Many brands have moved away from announcing their new models at Detroit, in favor of other auto shows like Geneva, Tokyo, Frankfurt, or Shanghai.

- Charles Wills, a Detroit police officer, plead guilty to taking $4,000 in a bribe for sending stolen vehicles to a collision shop. He is one of 5 officers that were recently caught.
- Detroit police are looking for a suspect in a deadly hit & run on the city’s west side.
- Detroit police are looking for a carjacker that robbed a woman in a Detroit Coney Island parking lot.
- S. Marshals are searching for two Detroiters that went to W. Virginia to execute a man, and then return to Detroit to hide. The fugitives are Katwan Gray and Deven Graham.
- Detroit police arrested a man for shooting his ex-girlfriend in the head as she was driving away from an argument. She was able to get to a McDonald’s for help and is in stable condition.
- A trio of criminal smashed a large SUV into a pharmacy on 8 Mile Rd. In the “smash-n-grab,” they stole the safe and many bins of pharmaceutical drugs.
- Detroit police are searching for 5 suspects for a man fatally shot in the head outside of a gambling party, east of Greenfield.
- 31-year-old Erick Brown travels the country in an old bus with his pet goat. In 2017, he won the bid on a $1,350 tax foreclosure in Detroit. He tried to evict a couple that had overstayed their welcome and they nearly beat him to death, tied him up and left him, after stealing his money. Brown suffered a broken nose, broken teeth, gashes on his face, head, and back. I label people like Brown boomerangs: they move to Detroit to be a part of the false resurgence, get their teeth kicked in (this time literally), and then they flee – all within days, weeks, months.
