My favorite Coping Mechanisms I used as a child (and still fight) were denial, minimizing, disassociation, anorexia, and self-injury. Anyone else have any??? Anyone else get over theirs and how? I know it sounds weird, but I use to like to take scalding showers and such. It felt good. When I was angry and couldn't control other types of abuse and couldn't express myself to anyone, that seemed to be when I was most prone. I'm glad I've grown out of it for the most part.
