I am a muslim

I am a Muslim and I am not a terrorist. I’m a muslim that grew up in the United States and I love my country. My religion doesn’t tell me to hate. My religion teaches me love.

I am a muslim women and I am not supressed. I was Taught to read. I was taught to write. I was taught to be strong. I was taught thease things because that is what my religion demands.

I am a muslim women that wears a hijab. I cover my body but not to hide bombs but because for me it is a form of beauty.Don’t judge me based on the actions of a few. Don’t take away my rights based on the crimes of a few.

For me America is the land of the free. A land that is free for all. Do I need to change my opinion? Will I be punished for crimes I have not commited and never intend too.

For me the members of terrorist groups are not muslims. They are murderers and tyrants. They are sick and need to be treated. I am not on their side. And I don’t understand their ideas.

I am a muslim and that means that I am not a terrorist, because the path of a terrorist is never the path of Islam.
