Got the Point?

Today I went with my grandpa to Centennial Gardens Arena to watch George the Giant break a Guiness World Book Record. I got to meet George and shake his hand. He's a really nice guy.

George the Giant is a seven foot tall, two-hundred-ninety-one pound man that swallows swords and flames. But, today he broke the world record for laying on a bed of nails while a 1000 pounds of bricks were placed on his chest and broken with Sledge Hammers.

This was a private test run with only the employees (and a few guests). Tonight, he has to do it again with the media and people from Guiness World Book, etc. The record was seven hundred pounds of brick. George broke the record with one-thousand pounds of cement brick.

George laid on the bed of nails and two guys placed a piece of Plywood on him to protect his chest. Then they went through the routine of laying the bricks on the plywood twice. The second time, when the last brick was laid, they lit the top one on fire. Then two guys with sledge hammers quickly smashed the bricks and took the plywood off George

He had been wearing a t-shirt and when he got up he took it off so we could see the holes in his back. I've got pictures that I'll post here soon...

Pretty cool, huh?
