The struggle is real. The struggle is mine.

I just started counting my steps for real. I’m trying to get at least 10,000 steps a day. Some days I’ve really got it and I’m up and over 10k then other days I’m lucky if I get 5k. Ugh. I Guess I’m going to have to put a little of effort into this. My goal is to start a couch to 5k program in a few weeks.

I’ve daydreamed about jogging with my pup from the day we got her. She turns 2 at the end of May and the vet recommends that you wait until pups Turn 2 before you start running them. It’s already getting hot here in southwestern PA, so I think I might wait until after summer to get her started. Or maybe we could just go out for a run on cooler days. I’m going to have to feel it out.

My goal was to lose 10lbs by the time I see my mom in May. I’ve failed myself again. We’ve stopped eating out and I’ve made numerous healthy choices during my meals so much that I could swear I’ve lost something. Two lbs, that’s it. I guess I shouldn’t complain. It’s not like I’m running 5 miles then lifting for 2 hours a day. This is going to take time and much, much effort…obviously.
